✍️ Edits new Series, YouTube “Hype”, and songs of the week…

YouTube “Hype” could help your channel… Here’s what else is up this week:

📰 Content Creator News

 ✍️ “Edits” App Tutorial Series

To boost creator skills, Instagram launched a 20-part video tutorial series for its Edits video creation app.

Hosted by creator Adrian Per, the first 5 episodes (out now) cover camera setup, using the teleprompter, and keyframe editing. More lessons will roll out over time – a handy free resource to level up your short-form video quality (no fancy editing software needed).

#️⃣ Hashtag Limit Test – Less Is More

TikTok is experimenting with capping posts at 5 hashtags max. The idea: treat hashtags as focused discovery filters rather than reach hacks.

Overloading on random trending tags can actually hurt reach, so TikTok wants creators picking only the most relevant tag. If this rolls out, make sure to choose quality over quantity in your tags for better discovery.

👏 YouTube “Hype” Feature Expands Globally

YouTube expanded its Hype boosting feature to 39 countries, helping fans elevate emerging creators under 500k subs.

Viewers can hype up to three videos per week; hyped videos earn points and can trend on a special leaderboard, with smaller channels getting bigger boosts in visibility.
