Meta’s Threads (the Twitter/X-like text platform tied to Instagram) rolled out a new post format this week called “ghost posts,” which are essentially ephemeral threads.

Ghost posts automatically archive themselves after 24 hours of being live, similar in spirit to Instagram Stories or Snapchat content that vanishes after a day.

🤑 X (Twitter) Experiments with Creator Incentives?

X signaled it is exploring new creator rewards tied to content performance. The team is looking at ways to recognize and pay creators who are the original catalysts of a viral trend or discussion on the platform.

In theory, if a creator’s post sparks a massive global conversation, X might give them a bonus on top of the existing ad-revenue sharing payouts – an incentive to originate engaging content.

👀 Watch History for Reels

Announced by Instagram head Adam Mosseri, the new function lets users review all the Reels videos they’ve watched, helping people easily rediscover clips they saw but may have lost track of.

The watch history is accessible under “Your Activity” in settings and even allows filtering by date or creator, addressing a common frustration among Reels fans who until now had no easy way to find a previously viewed video.
