🏈 Live Sports are coming to TikTok
TikTok expanded its sports content by partnering with Major League Soccer to stream matches. The platform will air four MLS games live this season, blending social media with pro sports content.
This trial run could open the door for creators to engage new audiences around live sports and event-based content on TikTok.
👻 Snapchat is back?
Snap Inc. is deepening its focus on the teen demographic. It recently acquired a popular student calendar app called Saturn (used in thousands of U.S. high schools) to integrate scheduling and social planning features into Snapchat.
This move could make Snapchat even more of a daily hub for Gen Z, which in turn keeps young audiences engaged with creators’ content on the platform. Brands aiming at Gen Z should watch how Snap weaves in these new functions – it may unlock creative, time-sensitive marketing opportunities (think back-to-school collabs, event tie-ins, etc.) down the line.
