😨 TikTok Limits Posts, Algorithm Updates, and the top trends of the week…
Are you SICK of TikTok Shop Ads too? SAME…Here’s what you need to know:

👋 Weekly Tips & Tricks
😨 TikTok is Limiting Posting?
TikTok implemented a new quality rule to discourage spammy content from sellers. Accounts that post five or more “non-interactive” (low-engagement) shoppable videos in a week may face a posting limit – only the first 7 videos in a 7-day period can include product links, with links hidden on additional videos.
This “Content Posting Limit” aims to encourage more engaging, authentic content from creators using TikTok Shop, rather than repetitive, low-effort posts.
🤖 X has updated its Algorithm??
X made a major transparency move by open-sourcing its “For You” feed algorithm. On Jan 20, X’s engineering team released the full source code that determines which posts get recommended.
The code (hosted on GitHub) reveals that X’s feed now runs on a Transformer AI model (“Grok”) which ranks content almost entirely via machine-learned engagement predictions rather than hand-tuned signals.
🗻 Snapchat Just Hosted a Creator Summit?
Snapchat hosted a dedicated Snapchat House and over 20 workshops/panels aimed at empowering creators at their “1 Billion Followers Summit” (a global creator economy conference in Dubai, Jan 9–11).
During the summit, Snap launched a Snap Accelerator Program featuring hands-on sessions to teach emerging creators how to grow their audience, master storytelling, and build sustainable businesses on the platform.

🔥 Top Social Trends of the Week
⭐️ Picture Trend: This trend can be used for any niche. All you have to do is add a relatable text and a clip of yourself with the text that relates to your brand, and then add meme images to the music. Ex: “Do you really need to buy more makeup?” insert rolling eye memes and duh memes.
⭐️ “My Impression of an Owl but…”: This is a silly trend that anyone can do! First, introduce yourself, then say, “This is my impression of an owl, but it is BLANK.” Owls say who so say who in your sentence in the tone of the person you are mimicking. Ex: This is my impression of an Owl but it is (insert celebrity impression, family memeber friend).
@nickjonas How’d I do?
⭐️ 2016 is BACK: Since 2016 was 10 years ago (woah how time flies), creators are showing off their old 2016 makeup routines as well as some of their favorite photos and videos from that time. Think overexposed images, colorful makeup and the mannequin challenge…
