👋 Weekly Tips & Tricks
🫸 TikTok Ban gets another push
TikTok creators in the U.S. got a temporary reprieve as the government’s Dec 16 deadline for TikTok’s Chinese ownership divestment was pushed to Jan 23, 2026 via a second executive order.
In other words, TikTok did not “go dark” this week – but the situation remains uncertain, so U.S. creators should stay prepared for possible regulatory impacts.
👀 Instagram has new story fonts
In Instagram's Edits app, they have included a new font inspired by the Netflix Series, Stranger Things. They have also added it to their platforms for story and cover usage.
😒 Meta Testing Paid Links for Pages
Meta began testing limits on link posts for Facebook business/professional accounts, essentially nudging them to pay. Some Pages got notices that “starting Dec 16, profiles without Meta Verified will be limited to 2 link posts per month”.
To share more links, you’d need to subscribe to Meta Verified (the paid blue check program).
🔥 Top Social Trends of the Week
⭐️ “And suddenly it’s December…”: This is a nostalgic throwback post 💔 Using this audio, show a video or picture of yourself at 17 in December, compared to now! Brb crying over here!

⭐️ The water I need…: Here is a trend to get over the winter blues… or make them worse 😅 Film yourself when you are tired, then on the beat drop, add your favorite videos of a body of water. Yes it is true…we miss summer too 😫
⭐️ This Transition: For this trend, you need one person to clap on beat to the song. A new person is featured after each clap. It is typically a peek at a person in between clapping, doing a silly happy dance!
